They tell her not to cry (however we don't see a single tear, at any point). In the show she doesn't show how sad she really is, but the other characters tell us that she is sad. The thing is that the book character of Ljiljana is very emotional and she goes through a lot in this story, so yes she cries a lot and we feel her emotions and remorse. ![]() There are many scenes where Ljiljana was supposed to be upset and cry, and we don't see that. The director knew what they were doing, but the best part of the show is the cast. ![]() ![]() Some details from the book are avoided (as they should be, 'cause they are kinda stupid), but the atmosphere of the story is there. As someone who grew up reading the novel this series was based on, I had high expectations.
